Rent stabilization issues come to city hall this week. On Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. city council will receive a report on the city’s COVID-19 rent subsidy program. The application window closed in December but council was told earlier this month that subsidies were very slow to make it to renting households. Read the staff report and find participation options on the agenda. On Wednesday at 6 p.m. the Rent Stabilization Commission will consider changes to relocation fees for a fourth time. (Spoiler alert: the commission is not likely to recommend the fees be raised.) Read the staff report and find participation options on the commission’s agenda.
